PhD Network Buddies

Inclusive Migration Research and Exchange for PhD Students

The IMISCOE PhD Network is very happy to announce that the Buddy System, one of the initiatives of the PhD Network, will open its first call for applications in 2024. The Buddy System is a unique opportunity for PhD students and early career scholars to connect with other migration researchers from around the world.

This project aims to foster support and networking among participants, forming micro-networks of support so that they can share their experiences with other researchers with similar interests. To learn more about the project, as explained by its co-founders, Carolin Müller and Sandra Morgenstern, see this link: https://www.imiscoe.org/news-and-blog/phd-blog/1607-carolin-mueller-sandra-morgenstern.

Once the groups are established, participants will receive an email with the contact information of their new partners. They will be able to choose how and when to meet. We will organize several events throughout the year to expand these groups and facilitate interactions with the network at large.
