The Standing Committee Forced Migration and Refugees shall be chaired by a chair and two co-chairs. We aim for representation from the Global East, South and North.
In addition to the chair and co-chair we are now seeking another co-chair representing a perspective from the global south (either based in the south, ideally, or based in another part of the world). Candidates must be post docs, have several years of experience in the field and are well networked, English-laguage proficiency is a requirement.
Applications shall consist of a single-page PDF file that includes a short bio of the candidate (max 200 words), as well as a short description (max 300 words) of the motivation to join the SC and the candidate’s expertise in this specific area of research. Neither the applicants nor their host institutes need to be members of IMISCO though knowledge of how IMISCOE works will be an advantage.
Co-chairs need to be prepared and have the time and resources to actively chair the committee, taking on certain tasks, attend meetings and ideally also IMISCOE annual conferences and generally contributing to our activities.
