The Loyola Schools Outstanding Scholarly Work Award has been attributed to Professor Amparita S. Sta. Maria for her book chapter on "Labour Migration and exclusive State amidst the Global Pandemic of Covid 19"

Professor Amparita S Sta Maria, a contributor to the Migration in Southeast Asia Reader has received an award for her chapter on "Labour Migration and exclusive State amidst the Global Pandemic of Covid 19". 

The Loyola Schools Outstanding Scholarly Work Award is a special recognition to work of such quality that contributes significantly to the discipline, is novel or innovative, and/or meets high standards of excellence, e.g., an article in a Web of Science or Scopus journal or a book published by a reputable publishing house. Each School chooses an outstanding scholarly work award for the year. 

Through a rigorous process of review, this year-2024- Amparita S Sta Maria, a Professor at Law School, Ateneo de Manila, the Philippines was awarded for her contribution for the edited book entitled ‘Migration in Southeast Asia’ co-edited by Sriprapha Petcharamesree and Mark Capaldi and published in 2023 by Springer as part of IMISCOE regional series on migration.
