International conference and inauguration of the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1604

The inauguration of the Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1604 and the conference "Production of Migration: Figures, Infrastructures and Spaces" will take place from 23-25 October at Osnabrück University (Germany). Registration is now open!

The SFB "Production of Migration" is an interdisciplinary consortium funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), that sets out to collectively develop a reflexive theory of the social production of migration over the next years. Launched in April 2024, around 50 researchers from the fields of geography, history, psychology, linguistics, law and social sciences are investigating various forms, facets and consequences of the social negotiation of migration. Comprising 15 projects grouped in three project areas, the SFB is dedicated to explore what it considers to be central ›media‹ in the production of migration: figures, infrastructures and spaces. More information can be found here.
