‘Introduction to Migration Studies’ has been published! This new volume does not only bring together work on key themes in migration studies, but it also offers an interactive guide connecting readers to work published on various themes. It starts with an introduction to migration studies and continues with an introductory reading of migration drivers, migration infrastructures, migration flows, and several transversal topics such as gender and migration. It also covers politics, policies and governance as well as specific research methods.
Produced in the context of the IMISCOE led project ‘CrossMigration’, the book is the product of an effort to systematically map and bring together work in the field of migration studies. Each of the chapters offer introductions to key themes in migration studies and connect with IMISCOE’s migration research hub (www.migrationresearch.com) for access to broader work. The book is available in Open Access and is a key reading for anyone wanting easy access to a broad range of themes in migration studies and migration-related diversities.
