Vacancies: 2 Research Assistants - EUI - Schuman Centre

We are looking for two Research Assistants (PhD candidates or and recent PhD holders most welcome) based in Spain and Greece for the period September to Dec 2021 to support our research on religiously inspired violent radicalisation in these two countries.

More details can be found below. Salary is competitive. The post is based at the EUI in Florence, Italy but the researcher will have as place of work Spain or Greece.

  1. VACANCY NOTICE for a RESEARCH ASSISTANT
    The EUI has a vacancy for a Research Assistant in the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies.

    Research tasks: Literature review on religiously inspired violent radicalisation in Greece and policies/practices to address it · Consultation and analysis of relevant media materials and policy documents · Conduct and analyse expert interviews · Draft project reports and relevant academic publications

    Qualifications required: Expertise on Greece, and on the study of the dynamics of religiously inspired violent radicalisation, and the governance of cultural and religious diversity Previous experience in qualitative research Previous experience in working in projects, collaboratively and ability to collaborate remotely Publications track record commensurate to career stage

    Advantageous: PhD in the social sciences (Sociology, political science, religious studies, social anthropology, geography)

    Languages: Fluent English reading and writing Fluent Greek Speaking Arabic or Urdu an asset
